Where Am I? What Am I Doing?

I’ve got my fingers in a lot of projects right now, so I wanted to write this post for two reasons: To update you, and to center myself on everything I have going!

So, what have I got going on right now? This past weekend my wife and I were at the New England Metaphysical and Holistic Festival in Augusta, Maine. We were there as vendors, working to sell my knitwear, her crochet work, and the artwork by our dear friend Bob, of Ocean Moon Creations. Seriously, look at his amazing work, you guys...

After this weekend my wife - the amazing and talented Trisha Morey - and I were discussing what we want to do with our artistic aspirations, and we’ve long-discussed opening an art gallery or shop of sorts. This is the long-term goal, but in the short-term, we’ve begun a collaborative called Aesthetes. We created an open Facebook Group for anyone interested in being a part of this project. Our goal is to connect to the natural world through creative energy with the intention to bring healing and relieve suffering. We are a group from many spiritual and religious paths, just looking to find connection.

Eventually we’d like to offer classes, stitching circles, and more. In the meantime, though, we’re bringing work to upcoming shows and festivals, and working to promote our favorite artists who are making the world a better place by making their creations.

We’re planning to bring Aesthetes to Pagan Community Day in Portland, Maine, on August 4th, so come find us!

As part of this umbrella of Aesthetes, I’ve begun a YouTube channel about knitting called Stitch and Witch, and an accompanying Facebook group for fiber artists of a Pagan/witchy bent. I have a few videos up and more in the works. I’d also eventually like to start a podcast, and that is being planned and plotted as we speak. Also, my YouTube/future podcast/etc. has a Patreon now!

And, of course, I’m still writing and working on my Masters in English, I’m still a #knittingnanny taking care of amazing children, and sometimes I even get to sleep for 8 straight hours! Crazy, right? Come join us and all this stuff we have going on!
